Hard work is considered a badge of honor in today's world, but is the greatest city A.K.A Atlanta on the list?

An annual study that was recently published listed the hardest working cities across the country. This study logged that the average American works nearly 2,000 hours a year, which is just under 300 hours more than the U.K. and more than 440 hours more than Germans. So while the U.S. is taking the cake for working hard, which U.S. cities top the list?
The study compared more than 100 of the biggest cities in the United States using 11 different metrics. Some of the metrics include employment rates, average hours worked per week, volunteer hours, unused vacation time and commute time. The top 10 hardest working cities in the United States based off this are:
1. San Francisco, CA.
2. Anchorage, AK.
3. Irving, TX.
4. Virginia Beach, VA.
5. Washington, D.C.
6. Sioux falls, SD.
7. Norfolk, VA.
8. Cheyenne, WY.
9. Dallas, TX.
10. Austin, TX.
Not only did Atlanta not make it in the top 10, we didn't even graze the list in the top 40! Atlanta was number 41 on the list with a score of 64.70 for hard working. On a list of 116 I'm happy to report we are in the top half of the list and that the least hard working city in the United States is Burlington, VT.
This study also explored why do Americans work 25% more than our friends across the pond and if it's even really worth it to work as much as we do? They also explored if working more hours really means more productivity or if this varies by job type. Check out the full study and break down here.
