We've all had them and we all regret them, but thankfully our weary tales can save our sisters and friends from THESE weird dates.

Dating is hard, point blank periodt. Planning dates can be scary, all the butterflies, the jitters, the nervous babbling, the rejection, the ups and the downs and all in the name of finding love. Recently a Reddit thread blew up with some of the weirdest places women have been on for dates and I've personally ranked them from weird to down right freaky. To score these dates we are going on a scale of 0-10 and I will specify if it's on the weird scale or freaky scale.

The case of wrong directions

A woman shared that she went on with a guy and chose the restaurant. The guy she went out with assured her he knew where the restaurant was, but he clearly didn't. It gets worse ( or better depending on your perspective): The woman's date proceeded to drive 30 minutes in the opposite direction before SHE event said anything. When she did finally ask what was going on her date refused to admit he was lost AND that he didn't know where the restaurant was.

I can't decide who was more wrong here, the guy for not knowing and having too much pride to say anything or her for not saying anything for 30 whole minutes. Like come on sis, what were you thinking? Riding in a car with a strangers for 30 WHOLE MINUTES with out saying a single word???

Final Verdict: 3/10 weird and 0/10 Freaky

The classic case of not listening

This Reddit User shares that she was going on a first date with a guy and he initially suggested Dave & Busters. Which let's be honest sounds like a great time, but the woman shared she would rather do something else for the first date. Her date agreed and promised to pick her up. The day of the date comes, he picks her up and takes her to none other than..... Dave & Busters

Two things could have happened here the classic mistake of casual dating dates mix ups or he really just loves Dave & Busters. Either way this is pretty weird.

Final Verdict: 4/10 weird and 0/10 freaky

Sounds more like a bro date to me

This woman shared that she was expecting to go on a nice lunch date with a new romance interest. Her date decided to take her to a gun range, which might have been cool if he didn't bring his friends along. That's right, her date brought three of his friends with him on his "lunch date".

I honestly can't come up with any reasonable explanation as to why he would bring his three friends on a lunch date...

Final Verdict: 6/10 weird and 2/10 freaky

He's really in touch with his artistic side

A woman shared that she went on a date with a guy who promised to show her a hidden spot in their city that he liked to write songs at. When the pair arrived it was just a random underpass in their city.

It really seemed like this guy was trying to go for the 'mysterious, brooding, artist' type and have some clout.

Final Verdict: 7/10 weird and 3/10 freaky

A very creepy romantic gesture

Imagine going on a first date to the middle of nowhere... Well that's what happened with this Reddit User. This woman shares that she went on a first date with a man who drove her to the middle of nowhere, in which she was met with a shipping container. She goes on to say her date said he was going to buy it for her and turn it into their home...

Just reading this story had red flags waving and alarm bells ringing in my head.

Final Verdict: 12/10 weird and 4/10 freaky

How soon is TOO soon?

This Reddit User shared that she was only dating a guy for two weeks when he took her to a funeral. It wasn't just any funeral t was his grandfather's funeral AND to make things even weirder he was going around and calling her his special friend.

Yikes, my first thought is how soon is too soon to bring a new boo to a funeral? Secondly why was he calling her that... Definitely not the move for me.

Final Verdict: 13/10 weird and 3/10 freaky

Make it rain

This woman recounted being taken to a strip club on a first date. If that wasn't bad enough her date tried to get the strippers' phone numbers while on the date with her.

This one just burns, why even ask someone on a date when you clearly want to be single.

Final Verdict: 9/10 weird and 5/10 Freaky

He was trying to enrich his mind...

This Reddit User shared that her date took her to an adult book store. If that wasn't freaky enough her date tried to force her into watching an adult movie in one of the viewing rooms.

My take away from these stories is P R O X I M I T Y. The closer in physical distance you are in these weird situations the creepier they feel.

Final Verdict: 24/10 weird and 8.8/10 freaky

That is not how you pick up a spare

A woman shared that she was SUPPPOSE to go bowling on a first date with a guy - suppose being the key word - only to have her date pick her up and take her to... his mom's house to redecorate her bedroom.

This is too weird to get into. Like what was his plan?? My mind is going straight to a true crime documentary show.... I genuinely CANNOT think of any reason to go to your mom's house on a first date with ANYONE ever.

Final Verdict: 30/10 weird and 60/10 freaky

But WHY are they in the car

This Reddit User shared she went on a date with a guy who went through the drive thru at Taco Bell and then proceeded to park and watch that really weird movie Sausage Party.

I don't care what anyone says, my take away from ALL these horror stories is proximity. It probably would have been less weird if they got the food and watch the movie in the theaters or at his apartment or her apartment, BUT IT'S. IN. THE. CAR. Like where there is barely any space to breath... And let's be honest Sausage Party was a creepy and gross movie.

Final Verdict: 1,000,000/10 Weird and 2,000,000/10 Freaky
