A list of movies to get you ready for Thanksgiving includes "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles", "You've Got Mail", and "Home for the Holidays".

Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away. So to get you in the mood, Mental Floss put together a list of movies that include a Thanksgiving scene. Here they are:
1. "Addams Family Values" (1993):
When Wednesday Addams gives a speech about the injustices done to Native Americans during her camp's reenactment of the first Thanksgiving is a true cinematic quality and the reason why we all adore Wednesday Addams. AAANNND let's be honest this boss move and made all of us want to cause anarchy at the next family function.
2. "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" (1987):
Steve Martin's character is trying to make it home in time for Thanksgiving, but in true movie magic he gets stuck with John Candy and they learn to make the best of a motel room. This classic Steve Martin movie makes us all nostalgic of when movies were funny and about making people feel good.
3. "Miracle on 34th Street" (1947):
Yeah I know, you're thinking "Hey that's a Christmas movie!" But it opens with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, so it counts! Besides this classic black and white movie reminds us of why we are grateful for ~ color tvs ~ and the advancement of humanity.
4. "The Ice Storm" (1997):
It includes a scene with a Thanksgiving dinner with a not-so-nice speech - AAANNND let's be honest who hasn't wanted to share a few not so nice words at the dinner table? Besides it's cringe-y campiness perfectly captures what it means to be a 90s movie, a 90s kid and what life was like in the 90s. BONUS you get to see a young Christina Ricci, Tobey Maguire, Elijah Woods AND Katie Holmes.
5. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (1973):
Snoopy's Thanksgiving feast with toast, jelly beans, and popcorn? Yes please. Besides who would want to eat at the adult table when all they say is "whaw wah whah whaw whah whah." Best part is when Marcie puts Peppermint in her place like a QUEEN.
6. "Spider-Man" (2002):
For the Spider-Man loving or nontraditional holiday movie watcher, Spider-Man 2002 has a Thanksgiving Dinner in it. In addition to the Thanksgiving shoutout, who doesn't love watching an "old" 2000s movie to see how much CGI has changed in 20 years!
7. "You've Got Mail" (1998):
This fun romcom takes place around Thanksgiving and bonus you can watch a young Dave Chappelle early in his career. Aside from the turkey and laughs it gets you in your feels over how it was normal to email people back in the day instead of texting.
8. "Home for the Holidays" (1995):
You might be able to relate to this one. It's just another dysfunctional family sharing a Thanksgiving dinner. Aside from its general campiness you can see some of your favorite actors in their early days. Robert Downey Jr. is completely unrecognizable.
