Drizzly weather didn't stop a great night of meeting listeners at NASCAR Night for the Athens Rock Lobster game!

I had such a great time getting out into the community on Saturday, January 10, at the Athens Rock Lobsters game vs. the Pee Dee Ice Cats for NASCAR Night at Akins Ford Arena.

As the brand new morning show cohost on 106.1 WNGC Your Georgia Country, it meant a lot to meet so many listeners face-to-face. I loved chatting with fans of the station, taking photos. Plus I snagged a coveted pic with Clawdius, the Rock Lobster's fierce mascot and got the chance to chat with one awesome family who listens to WNGC regularly.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was connecting with listeners in unique ways, like sharing a love of fashion and sewing. It was amazing to see the community come out for a night of fast paced fun both on and off the ice.

Even though it was a little drizzly outside, the energy inside was amazing, and it was so nice to connect with such wonderful listeners and be active in the community. These are the moments that make local radio special.

Next stop: I’ll be back out on January 31 at Camp Rite in Loganville, GA, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — hope to see you there!
