Suffering from Post Disney Depression or counting down the days until your next dose of Disney? Well you don't need to wait for that first "Welcome Home" from a cast member to get that instant dopey-mine... oh excuse me, I mean dopamine hit to feel like you're in the most magical place ever. Whether you're craving the iconic taste of golden malted Mickey waffles, missing the nostalgic scents of Main Street, U.S.A. or looking for the high definition 4k ride POV walkthroughs, you can recreate the magic right in your own living room. From copycat recipes like Dole Whip and Joffrey's cold brew to ambient park music loops and signature resort coffee hacks, here are 8 easy, genius ways to bring the Disney World experience straight to your world today.

  • Diffuse "Smell O'Vision" Scents: Disney uses their patented "smellitzers" on Main Street, U.S.A., which is basically when the parks pump in specific scents inside attractions or areas to make the air extra tasty. You can create a little Disney magic at home with Magic Candle Company or Park Scents, who've perfectly mastered capturing a little Disney magic in a jar.

  • Queue up the 4K Vision for a "POV" Ride Walkthrough: Let's be honest some of my best naps have come from watching a walkthrough of Living With The Land, it's my safe space. But you can search up any of your favorite rides like Haunted Mansion or Soarin' and be transported back to your favorite place. If you really want to get jazzy with it, you can set the mood by listening with noise cancelling headphones to forget the world around you even if it is just for a few minutes.

  • Time for the Copycat Snacks: Now I know some stores offer Dole Whip in the frozen aisle, but not everyone has been blessed by the Disney Gods with Dole Whip readily available, so if you want to make your own Dole Whip at home it's easy, just mix a scoop of vanilla ice cream (or coconut milk), frozen pineapple chunks and pineapple juice into the blender and let that baby roar until it's nice and smooth. You can also put a creative spin on Woody's Totchos with a "create your own" Totchos bar, or if that's too much work you can be like me and just peruse the ice cream section in the grocery store looking at the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches.

  • Create an Immersive Park Day at Home: The secret to creating Disney Magic at home is feeling like you're actually there. That means engaging all your senses, picture this: you have your Magic Kingdom smelling candle, plus the ambient music of Main Street, U.S.A. playing on a loop, Your favorite Mickey Ears and gear, AND some Dole Whip... I don't know about you, but that just answered 99 of my 100 problems and I didn't have feel overwhelmed by the crowds. You can make a whole evening of this, pick your park sound track of choice, your favorite cocktail and from time to time walkthrough some of your favorite rides. This will either cure your Disney Depression or make it 10 times worse, you'll have to let me know how that goes for you.

  • Host a Disney Movie & Park Treats Pairing Night: Perfect for the littles or even the bigs, pick a few of your favorite Disney movies and pair them with their snack brethren from the park, or if you're talented enough recreate the dishes, but I'll just stick with what I know. So let's revisit Woody's Totchos for example, you can have a Toy Story Night with a build your own Totchos Bar or Perhaps a real throwback with A Goofy Movie and pizza, cheese from a can and crackers. The list is endless.

  • DIY Resort Coffee Hacks: Nothing beats starting the day at a Joffrey's kiosk in the parks, and now you can start your day with Joffrey's at home by ordering their blends online. And if you're a real at home barista you can even recreate their Shakin' Jamaican Cold Brew by mixing the dark roast cold brew with caramel syrup, vanilla and a splash of milk over ice.

  • Build Your Dream "Virtual" Itenerary: For true Disney fans the planning is half the fun because you can virtually visit the parks and see the wait times and even start to plan that perfect trip in your dream resort all while you start making those official trip details.
