A new study was just released after six months of data was collected to reveal the four day work week might be the new reality.

Cambridge University Researched conducted a six month long study in the U.K.'s effort to reduce the work week. This was the largest international study ever conducted about work production and it took place back in 2022. The study found that the companies that participated in the study saw a 1.4% increase in productivity with a four day work week.

In addition to the increase in productivity 92% of the companies that participated in the study said they are keeping the schedule moving forward, and more importantly than that 15% of those companies said they will NEVER go back to a five day work week. Aside from the big wigs seeing greater success, employees also found great success in this study.

Employees shared they found themselves having better sleep, better personal lives, better stability in their mental health and here's the most important one: lower stress levels. Accompanied with better sleep, employees also shared that they spent more time with family, kids and friends. They felt more accomplished and could spend more time on household duties and personal activities.

While companies reported sales and revenue earned remaining mostly the same, what was an attractive benefit to the study according to employers, was that during low revenue periods in previous years they increased revenues by 35%. Employers also noticed less turnover, fewer sick days being used and less burnout.
