Juandolyn Stokes of On Point with Juandolyn Stokes and Rev. Sharon Risher discuss the tragic Emanuel AME Church shooting 6 years ago.

This week's Sister Talk guest on, OPWJS was Rev. Sharon Risher who is a minister, author of Such a Time as This: Hope and Forgiveness, and a civil rights advocate who lost several family members in the Emanuel AME Church shooting in Charleston, S.C. 6 years ago by Dylan Roof.

Roof walked into the church under the guise of attending bible study when he unloaded on 9 members of the church, including Risher's mother, Ethel. Risher shared the personal conflicts she is having with her human-side, which wants revenge for the murders and her spiritual side, which knows it is better if we leave revenge to God.

Roof is currently appealing his murder conviction, although it is unlikely he will win according to Risher who says, "He will never see the light of day."
