Take advantage of the holiday hours at the Children's Museum Atlanta, a place where kiddos can be entertained and educated all at the same time.

The Director of Exhibits and Education at the Children's Museum Karen Kelly joining us today to talk about all the fun activities all year round for kids learning education hands on so many things, but more importantly talk about the holiday programming happening at the museum. yes To kick things off Karen shares details about the Snow Days Program, a program designed to help kids think about the days when it snows and what you can do. The museum has put together a ‘sock-a-feller’ inspired rink for kids to enjoy faux skating, hot cocoa and more. Additionally the museum offers several opportunities to include “sneaky education” as Karen will call it to teach kids about social interactions, their own personal feelings and how to treat others.

Karen is most excited for the Pixar inspired Inside Out exhibit to help kids understand emotions and feelings within themselves and other for patrons to enjoy and the return of her favorite exhibit which uses only cardboard boxes to challenge kids to ‘think outside the box’. Karen shares she’s witness this exhibit develop friendships, foster creativity and help kids create community.
