Don’t forget to switch your clocks this Sunday, but before you do, here’s what you need to know to win this years time shift

Kids have a harder time adjusting to change than adults. Making these small changes at home this week can ease the transition of a time change. In order to adapt to the time change experts recommend shifting bedtime back 5 minutes everyday this week, so tonight 5 minutes, then 10 minutes tomorrow and so on.

  1. Shift bedtimes back five minutes each day

  2. shift mealtimes and activities back between 10 - 15 minutes

  3. Do not let kids nap during the day

  4. Do it as much as you can

It can feel discouraging to try and fail, but experts say just keep pushing through and the kids will fall in line. Daylight Saving is this Sunday, March 8th, 2026
